Lei-A-Bear Weekend

Lei-A-Bear Weekend 2026 Overview

Lei-A-Bear Weekend 2026 is an annual five-day bear community celebration hosted by The Aloha Bears on O‘ahu, Hawaii from Thursday, May 21 through Monday, May 25, 2026 (Memorial Day Weekend). The event brings together bears, admirers, locals, and visitors from around the world for sun, fun, and community-focused activities across Honolulu and the island. (THE ALOHA BEARS)

The weekend kicks off with a Meet & Greet at Bacchus Waikiki, a laid-back social gathering where participants can mingle, grab swag, and relax into the island vibe. (THE ALOHA BEARS) On Friday, May 22, the festivities heat up with the BILF Gear Night/Fetish Party at Tapas Waikiki, inviting attendees to show off favorite gear and enjoy music and drinks into the night. (THE ALOHA BEARS)

Saturday, May 23 is highlighted by the Bears on the Beach Secret Island Excursion, a full-day island adventure that transports guests to a secluded beach setting. Activities range from kayaking and paddleboarding to beach volleyball and relaxation under Hawaiian sun. (THE ALOHA BEARS)

On Sunday, May 24, the weekend’s signature moment arrives with the Bear Boat/Booze Cruise. This famous 90-minute catamaran sail departs Waikiki Beach with an open bar, offering stunning Pacific views and festive camaraderie before returning to shore for lunch and more social time at Tapa’s Waikiki. (THE ALOHA BEARS) Later that evening, many head to nearby nightlife spots like In Between for bear-friendly karaoke and socializing. (THE ALOHA BEARS)

The weekend winds down on Monday, Memorial Day, with a relaxed Bear-B-Que Potluck at Fort DeRussy Beach Park. This outdoor picnic gives attendees a chance to share food, laughter, and final memories together right by the ocean. (THE ALOHA BEARS)

Beyond these marquee events, Lei-A-Bear Weekend usually features plenty of free bar gatherings, daytime pool parties, and the chance to explore Honolulu’s vibrant gay scene centered around Waikiki’s welcoming bars and social venues. (Gay Travel 4u) With its mix of adventure, beach culture, dance parties, and community spirit, Lei-A-Bear Weekend continues to be a high-energy, must-attend event for bears and friends during Memorial Day Weekend.
